Fine quality early 19th century silk embroidery featuring a potted rose with a butterfly or moth.   Original water gilt frame with reverse painted glass.   

This item descended in a Massachusetts family, however I believe it is English based on the label on the back.  Outstanding workmanship.  Great patina with age.

Condition:  Overall very good.  Probably some light fading.  General wear to the frame consistent with age.
