A Danish Modern Mid-Century Lounge Chair Armchair Jens Risom Style American Rare
Great looking mid-century armchair coming directly from a 1950s estate where it has been since new. No markings, but the foam had a tag from a Brooklyn, NY company, so I believe it to be American. The lines are similar to designs by Jens Risom, but I could not find an exact match.
Chair will be outstanding floating in a room facing a seating group. The rail along the back and the back legs have excellent lines.
Solid walnut frame, very well made and heavy. No loose joints. Original finish and upholstery. A comfortable seat ideal for any sized person.
Condition: Latex foam in the seat has suffered from dry rot and must be replaced. I removed a good deal of the foam and replaced it with stuffing, but it will still need work to be fully corrected. Chair will look outstanding with new upholstery.

33" H x 27" W x 31" D x 15" Seat height
