Offered is a rare mid-century modern club chair designed by T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb. Classic design with the arm continuing around the back with tubular wood frame. Springed cushions make for a very comfortable chair. Original upholstery. Dates to the 1950s.
Although unmarked, it is coming from an estate with other marked Widdicomb pieces.
Condition: Wear to the finish consistent with age. Upholstery is old, but still holding up well. Structure is strong, no loose joints.
