RARE 1930s Romweber Dining Table 2 Bench Viking Oak Carved Trestle 8' Extension

A rare and important Romweber 8' extension dining table in solid oak with two long benches.  Table is trestle style with carved details throughout.  Both sides extend out to allow for ample seating.  These pieces are solid oak and built to last a lifetime.  Extremely high quality.  Table was always used with pads, so minmal wear to surface.

Table descended from a wealthy Oak Park, IL estate that was fully furnished with Romweber in the 1930s.  I was unable to find an exact match to this table, so I assume it was an expensive model that few could afford.  It is marked "Sample" on the underside, which could possibly mean it is one of a kind?   Please look at the other Romweber pieces I am offering from the same estate.

Benches come with their original leather padded seats, however the leather will need to be replaced, as it has detiorated over time.  There are two wooden cylinders that mount to each end of the bench from below, each with decorative brass tuft pins.  Can be easily reupholstered with leather by a professional, or benches can be used as they are with no padding.

Comes with a full set of pads for table top.

Condition:  Overall excellent.  One area of the top surface of the table shows some light discoloration to the finish, probably due to moisture that seeped under the pad.  Minimal signs of wear from use.

Measurements:
Table: 29 1/2" H x 60" W x 38" D, Each leaf: 18" W
Benches: 16 1/2" H x 48" W x 15 1/2" W
