An American Empire Mahogany Marble Top Chest French Commode, 19th Century

Fresh to the market from the estate of a 92-year-old lady who owned many antiques that passed down from her prominent Rhode Island / New Jersey family.  Excellent condition period chest that has been professionally refinished and restored in the past 30 years.  Highly figured mahogany veneer with a white marble top on carved feet.

Condition:  Drawers would have originally been opened only with the key, I believe the knobs were added (I removed them from the top drawer to show the correct look).  All drawers functional and operate smoothly (new runners).  Finish in very good condition.  Normal amounts of wear from use.  This is a period mid-19th century chest and should be handled as such.

Measurements:  39″H x 45-1/2″W x 21″D

Marble is separate piece.
