Signed l.r. "Hauberg" There is a second painting that is dated 1848.
Provenance: Findlay Galleries (written on inside of frame), Private collection, Westfield, NJ
This is one of two that I have by this artist, coming from the same estate. Interesting painting, however I can't quite tell what is happening. I tried to translate some of the writing on the street bills, which made me guess Austrian, but the family mainly collected German art.
Condition: Surface grime. Frame is from a later date. Normal amount of wear.
