A Vintage Leather Tufted Wingback Chair by Drexel, Black Suede English Gentleman
Outstanding large tufted wingback chair covered in suede type black leather. Original label was removed, but I have found identical examples by Drexel furniture. Purchased by a decorator for a wealthy local estate in the 1970s. Very comfortable, heavy solid construction, made to last.
Similar to the chairs found in gentleman's clubs throughout London. Great lines.
Condition: Overall very good. One button cover is missing on the underside of one arm, but you can only see it if you look for it. Leather has a bit of wear on the arms, but nothing significant. Chair was in a rarely used formal livingroom.
